Hino Trucks Adds Class 4 Cabover to Fleets

Earlier in the year, Hino Trucks rolled out the all-new Hino Class 4 cab-over engine (COE) truck model 155 to its product lineup, expanding Hino's light-duty truck offering range from Class 4-7.

Since its launch in March 2015, the 155 has exceeded sales expectations in the light delivery segment for both refrigerated and dry van applications. With it's current success and powerful dealer network, Hino is confident that they are well positioned for success in the growing Class 4 market.

The 155 model boasts a GVWR of 14,500 lbs and is powered by Hino’s award winning J05E-TP engine rated at 210 HP. Additionally, the new cabover has been available in two designations since May, the 155 and the "double cab" 155-DC. 

“It is also an ideal application fit in the landscaping industry. From a stake-body application for delivering trees to a jobsite to a spray rig application for lawn fertilization, the maneuverability of the 155 makes it a great fit in this industry where the ability to move in and out of tight spaces is essential,” said  Glenn Ellis, VP Marketing, Dealer Operations and Product Planning for Hino Trucks.

The 155 model is a great addition to many vocational fleet operations. As far as driver comfort goes, its interior is ergonomically designed with a mobile workspace. There are two large overhead storage compartments available in the cab, along with an additional storage compartment at the front of the passenger side seat. 

“The 155 is a fantastic truck to drive with its outstanding ergonomics, visibility, and tight turning radius. The 155 will do its part to create a stress-free work environment for any driver,” Ellis said. “Fleets understand the total cost of ownership model, so they will see very quickly how the 155 brings value to their operations,” Ellis said.
